WHAT ARE THE LTA DOING FOR BRITISH TENNIS?

Well done to Heather Watson on winning the US Open girls title last week in New York, at the age of 17. Have we heard of her? No? and why is that? because she trains at the Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy in Florida.

Roger Draper, Chief Executive of LTA spoke on Radio 5 of a 10 year plan to get Britain back in the top ranks of world tennis, saying there are talented 14 year olds out there. That's too late for you if you are between 17 and 22 yrs old! What help are the LTA going to give you, how will their 10 yr program be of any great benefit for YOU?
Train in Spain now, there they know how to produce quality palyers, gain world ranking points and prove you can do it!
